    I feel this company is deceptive in how they present their services compared to how they bill. Watch for reoccurring fees on your VISA. You may be surprised to find out you signed up for a service or length of service you were sure you did NOT sign up for. I feel tricked – ripped off!

    It was clear to me I signed up for ONE MONTH ONLY of having my house listed. For $80 bucks, it was worth the risk. No potential buyers contacted me and I didn’t care. Keeping the house was another fine option. But WAIT!!! What’s this reoccuring charge on my Visa bill? What?!! Huh?!! I didn’t sign up for that (was there very, very fine print which contracted the big, bold advertisement to ‘give it a month’?). I feel completely tricked and am, well, outraged. To make matters worse, their email went to my spam filter! I hate tricky, tricky practices

    I bought the $699 package from forsalebyowner.com to have the MLS listing. But what they do not tell you up front is that you have to pay $25 more each time you want to make a change to your MLS listing. It also takes 72 hours for those changes to become effective.

    Also, as part of this package they offer to list your home on local listing sites like Austinhomesearch.com. However, they assign a random Broker as a contact on those listings. Somebody I have never even talked to, who knows NOTHING about my property! So all of those inquiries just end up on a voicemail of someone in another city who never answers it. And on TexasFSBO.com, they listed a random Title company in a town that is 3 hours’ drive away from where I live.

    When I tried to share my listing on Facebook, it was trying to post information about a property in Georgia, not my own property (in Texas).

    Beware before you use this service!

    I bought a package on forsalebyowner.com that included a Realtor.com listing.It also included a money back guarantee option that was supposed to provide access to a full service Realtor and a refund of my fees if I couldn’t sell my house.

    None of those things happened. My house didn’t sell and the Realtor.com listing was pulled because of some legalities–of course no one bothered to mention it to me! Tried to use the Realtor guarantee option–they couldn’t find a “qualified” Realtor in my area (read that as “one willing to split the commission with them”).

    Finally got them to promise a refund, which they supposedly send to my old address.

    Now supposedly my case is lost in accounting as they decide if/when/how to actually make good on the promised refund.Just one excuse after another for why they won;t make good on the promise!
